POSITION SUMMARY Reporting to the Business Manager, the Bookkeeper for the East Windsor Catholic Family of Parishes manages all accounts receivable functions to ensure accurate and timely processing of all transactions. The Bookkeeper manages the family of parishes cash flow, maintains accurate records and provides timely financial information to the family of parishes Finance Committee.
SUMMARY OF DUTIES:
Maintains separate financial records for the parishes of the East Windsor Catholic Family of Parishes
Manages the full cycle of accounts receivable functions
Records donations in DDMS
Processes pre-authorized payments - Accurately enters and processes all receivables - Monitors and analyzes accounts receivable reports - Processes payments and handles all related banking activities - Ensures all transactions are compliant with Diocesan policies, procedures and applicable legislation - Supports month-end and year-end closing procedures - Provides support for audits and other accounting-related tasks
Processes all charitable receipts
Files quarterly HST rebate claims
Other duties as assigned or required
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
Completion of post-secondary degree and/or diploma in accounting, finance or a related field - 3+ years of experience working in accounts payable
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong attention to detail and accuracy - Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines - Proficiency in various Microsoft Office applications and accounting software - Excellent verbal and written communication skills - Self-motivated, proactive and able to work independently as well as in a team environment
A police record check as deemed suitable by the Diocese of London will be required of the successful candidate.
