Coordinator of Youth Ministry 

Position: Coordinator of Youth Ministry (1 Year Contract)
Family of Parishes: North Oxford Catholic Family of Parishes
Commitment: 20 hours per week Posting: January 19, 2023
Closing: February 22, 2023

The Family of Parishes consisting of Holy Trinity, Woodstock; Sacred Heart, Ingersoll and Holy Cross, Woodstock is seeking a part-time Coordinator of Youth Ministry

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Create, coordinate and provide activities and opportunities for elementary and high school age youth in our parishes
• Regularly assess and prioritize the needs of the Parish’s young people
• Coordinate a one week summer bible camp for youth
• Coordinate, plan and participate in a yearly high school youth conference
• Provide written youth updates & information for the parish bulletin
• Create content for social media platforms promoting family and youth ministry
• Recruit, oversee and ensure screening of all volunteers, in accordance with Called, Gifted and Sent guidelines
• Gather and ensure the orientation and training of all volunteer youth leaders
• Always incorporate guidelines of the Diocese of London
• Work collaboratively with the Pastor, Pastoral team & staff

Qualifications:

• Active, practicing Catholic
• The ideal candidate will have a Certificate in Youth Ministry or a willingness to obtain one
• Previous experience working with youth and volunteers
• Knowledge and understanding of various social media platforms such as Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and Snapchat
• Excellent leadership, organizational and communication skills
• A genuine concern for young people
• Friendly and outgoing personality

Additional Information:

• Hours of work and working conditions will allow for a flexible time schedule mutually agreed upon with the Pastor
• The successful candidate will be required to complete:
  • Vulnerable Sector Records Check
  • Psychological testing with regards to suitability for Ministry as required by the Diocese
  • A 6-month probationary period
  • Salary in accordance with the annual Diocesan Salary Guidelines
