Catholic Social Teaching - Youth Ministry Workshop

Facilitated by the department of Youth, Young Adult, and Family Ministry at the Diocese of London, Youth Ministry Workshops are initial formation opportunities for all who serve in- or desire to serve in ministry with young people. Workshops will engage participants in dialogue about relevant topics in youth ministry; promote practical skill development; and provide opportunity for networking with others in similar ministry. This is also an excellent way to sample the Diocese's Certificate in Youth Ministry, with the option (but without expectation) to enroll in the program. 

This particular Workshop will explore how God wishes to form each and every one of us into the erson He created us to be, through helping us to love others and live for others, just as Christ himself lived for us and loved us "to the end" (Jn 13.1). The Church's social teaching is an integral part of proclaiming and living the Good News of Jesus Christ in community. Social doctrines will be presented in this context to demonstrate how Catholic Social Teaching can help evangelize, console, and lovingly challenges us, as well as those we seek to teach.
