Created by the Pope's Worldwide Prayer Network and the Dicastery for Laity, Family and Life, the Rosary for the Family is a beautiful initiative that we will pray together in our national context on June 19, 2022. This virtual event for Canadian Catholics will be an opportunity to gather in prayer as well as to give witness to and meet other families across the country. After the rosary, families will be invited to participate in activities. More detailed information will be shared as it becomes available. The Diocese of London is a mission-oriented church, and we believe that creating disciples of Jesus starts with the family. Parish representatives, with the department of Youth, Young Adult, and Family Ministry, have been collaborating to create free subscription kits for young people (grades 1-6) and their families. Activities will engage subscribers in current themes of the Church, and include a combination of online and offline activities to get to know and grow faith at home.
Please register with your parish for a free, physical Easter Kit by clicking on the corresponding link below:
If your parish is not listed above, free digital kits may be requested: familyandyouthministry@dol.ca
Healthy, strong family relationships are foundational to young people's growth, learning, and well-being. These relationships build strong social and emotional strengths that kids use throughout their lives. But great family relationships don't just happen. This program is designed for families with young people aged 10 - 14 years old, to learn the keys to positive family relationships during the transition into the teen years. Keep Connected offers families - and the organizations that support them - ideas, activities, and experiences to help build strong family relationships. The goal is to strengthen family relationships to help kids be and become their best selves.
To offer this event in your parish, school, or virtually, please contact familyandyouthministry@dol.ca
Engaged and married couples are invited to join Found Together once a month to gather online for: entertainment; a talk or interview with a Catholic couple on a relevant topic for Catholic marriages; guided offline time for couples to discuss the talk/interview content; online small group discussions; and community prayer.
