CCCB Statements on the Legalization of Cannabis for Recreational Use in Canada

On June 19, 2018, the Senate passed Bill C-45, the Cannabis Act and two days later it received Royal Assent, thereby legalizing marijuana (cannabis) for recreational use in Canada.

In response, the Canadian Conference of Catholic Bishops (CCCB) has issued a statement to voice its concerns, which is available in French and English.  (links updated July 3, 2018)
