From Fr. Kathemo Mukucha, Episcopal Vicar for the Francophone Community:
Marguerite d'Youville to Host Ecumenical Prayer for Peace
The Holy Father recently invited all the Church to observe the Friday of the first week of Lent, i.e., Feb. 23, as a day of prayer and fasting for peace in the many areas of conflict throughout the world, particularly the Democratic Republic of the Congo and South Sudan. The Bishops of Canada have received a letter from the Apostolic Nuncio to Canada, Archbishop Luigi Bonazzi, which speaks “of the deep desire of Pope Francis that all the Church be united with him in this day of prayer.”
On that occasion, the French Catholic Community of Marguerite d'Youville, 920 Huron St, London, will host ecumenical prayer at 6 pm in the Chapel (formerly scheduled to begin at 4 pm). All are welcome. For more details, call the parish office 519-457-0436 or Diacre Gaston Mabaya: 226-977-5087.
