“It is my goal that our faith community is taking concrete action to serve those who are struggling to meet their basic human needs. The Pope Francis Fund is a public declaration that we must take to heart the words of Jesus; ‘Truly I tell you, just as you did it to one of the least of these who are members of my family, you did it to me’” (Mt 25:40), said Bishop Fabbro.
All applications must be submitted by February 28, 2021. Preference will be given to organizations within the Diocese of London.
Last year, the Pope Francis Fund made grants to nine organizations. You can see the full list of recipients and read examples of how they used the funding to make a difference at this

About the Pope Francis Fund Inspired by Jesus’ preferential love for the poor, as well as by the example set by Pope Francis, the Pope Francis Fund was launched by Most Rev. Ronald P. Fabbro, CSB, Bishop of London, on the third World Day of the Poor, November 17, 2019. Using proceeds from the sale of surplus land adjacent to St. Peter's Seminary, one million dollars was committed to an endowment fund on behalf of all the faithful of the Diocese. The proceeds earned will be given annually to carefully selected agencies that directly serve people who are underprivileged, marginalized or in need. The first grants were announced in March of 2020.
