Pastoral Appointments and Changes - February 2021

Pastoral Appointments and Changes:

Rev. Porfirio (Phil) Guimaraes, due to health conditions, will continue his Priestly ministry in his current appointment on a part-time basis, effective immediately.

Rev. Dariusz Jagodzinski has been appointed Parish Administrator of Sacred Heart, Ingersoll, effective 4 February 2021, in addition to his assignment as Parish Administrator of Holy Trinity, Woodstock, and Holy Cross Polish Catholic Community.

Rev. Sekar L. Raj has been appointed Parochial Vicar of Sacred Heart, Ingersoll, effective 4 February 2021, in addition to his assignment as Parochial Vicar of Holy Trinity, Woodstock, and Holy Cross Polish Catholic Community. Weekend coverage will be provided for their ministry.

Rev. Pedro Zuniga, F.M.M., has been appointed Parish Administrator of St. Francis of Assisi - St. Martin of Tours, effective 5 February 2021.

Rev. Saleem Amir, O.F.M., has been appointed Parochial Vicar of St. George Parish, London, effective 8 February 2021. Father Amir is from the Archdiocese of Lahore, Pakistan. He arrived in the Diocese of London in October 2020 and has been part of the International Priest Enculturation Program.

Rev. Danny Santos has been appointed Parish Administrator of St. John the Divine, London, effective 8 February 2021, in addition to his assignment as Director of Vocations and Seminarians. Rev. John Jasica and Rev. Saleem Amir will provide assistance to the parish.

Rev. Donald Pumputis is on a short-term personal leave of absence, effective 8 February 2021.

Retirement:

Rev. Gilbert Simard, who was serving as Pastor of Sacred Heart, Ingersoll, retired on 4 February 2021.

Reassignment:

Rev. Jose Lopez, F.M.M., has been called back to Guatemala by his religious community, effective 5 February 2021.
