Bishop Fabbro announces the following pastoral appointments and the establishment of the following families of parishes, all of which will take effect on July 2, 2019.
Pastoral Appointments Rev. Dwayne Adam, Vicar General, currently Pastor of St. Joseph, River Canard and Parish Administrator of St. Clement, McGregor, has been appointed Pastor of the new Family of Parishes of St. Joseph, River Canard, Sacred Heart, LaSalle and St. Paul, LaSalle. Rev. Raymond A. Lawhead, currently Pastor of North American Martyrs, Thamesville, which includes St. Michael Church, Dresden, has been appointed Associate Pastor of the Family.
Rev. Greg Bonin, currently Pastor of Most Precious Blood, Windsor and Parish Administrator of Our Lady of Guadalupe and Sts. Cyril and Methodius, Windsor, has been appointed Pastor of the new Family of Parishes of Our Lady of Guadalupe, Most Precious Blood, St. Theresa, Sts. Cyril and Methodius Slovak Parish and San Juan Diego of Guadalupe Hispanic Catholic Community, Windsor. Rev. David Johnston, currently Parochial Vicar of Most Precious Blood and Our Lady of Guadalupe, Windsor, has been appointed Associate Pastor of the Family. A Spanish-speaking priest will be appointed to the Family.
Rev. Robert Rocheleau, currently Pastor of Our Lady of the Atonement, Windsor, has been appointed Pastor of the new Family of Parishes of Our Lady of the Atonement, St. John Vianney, St. Vincent de Paul and St. Anthony of Padua Hungarian Parish, Windsor. Rev. Daniel Bombardier, Episcopal Vicar, currently Pastor of St. John Vianney, Windsor, has been appointed Associate Pastor of the Family. Rev. Barnabas Kiss, OFM, currently Administrator of St. Anthony of Padua, Windsor, will continue to serve the Hungarian community.
Rev. Graham Keep, currently Pastor of the clustered parishes of Holy Angels and St. Anne, St. Thomas and Parish Administrator of Our Lady of Sorrows, Aylmer, has been appointed Pastor of the new Family of Parishes of Our Lady of Sorrows, Aylmer, Holy Angels, St. Thomas, St. Anne, St. Thomas, and St. Mary, West Lorne, which includes St. Helen Church, Wallacetown. Rev. John Johnson, currently Associate Pastor of the clustered parishes of Holy Angels and St. Anne, St. Thomas and Rev. Mark Maloney, currently Parochial Vicar of St. Justin, London, have been appointed Associate Pastors of the Family.
Rev. John Juhl, OFM Cap., currently Pastor of the clustered parishes of St. Michael, Ridgetown and St. Mary, Blenheim, has been appointed Pastor of the new Family of Parishes of North American Martyrs, Thamesville, St. Michael, Ridgetown and St. Mary, Blenheim, which includes summer season Mass sites at Erieau and Rondeau Park. Rev. Arockiadoss Velanganni, OFM Cap., currently Parochial Vicar of the clustered parishes of St. Michael, Ridgetown and St. Mary, Blenheim has been appointed Associate Pastor of the Family.
Rev. Chris Gillespie, currently Pastor of the clustered parishes of Holy Family and Our Lady Help of Christians, Wallaceburg, and Sacred Heart, Port Lambton, has been appointed Pastor of the new Family of Parishes of Our Lady Help of Christians, Wallaceburg, Holy Family, Wallaceburg, Sacred Heart, Port Lambton, and St. Michael, Dresden*. Rev. Gerard Bedard, currently Parochial Vicar of the clustered parishes of Holy Family and Our Lady Help of Christians, Wallaceburg, and Sacred Heart, Port Lambton has been appointed Associate Pastor of the Family.
*As St. Michael, Dresden, is currently not a parish, I will propose to the Council of Priests at its next meeting that it be re-established as a parish.
