Pontifical Council for Interreligious Dialogue message for Hindu &#034;Festival of Lights&#034;

On 31 October 2018, The Pontifical Council for Interreligious Dialogue published a message of “cordial greetings and prayerful good wishes” to mark the Hindu celebration of Deepavali, also known Diwali and as the Festival of Lights, which will be celebrated this year on 7 November.

The message emphasizes how this celebration can be an inspiration for Hindus and Christians alike in defending those persons who are most vulnerable in society.
