Passing of the Most Rev. John Michael Sherlock

With profound sadness, we announce the passing of the Most Rev. John Michael Sherlock, ninth Bishop of the Diocese of London.  He died earlier today, Monday, August 12 at the age of 93.
 
Bishop John Sherlock was born in 1926, ordained to the priesthood in 1950, ordained to the episcopacy in 1974, and installed as the ninth Bishop of the Diocese of London in 1978.  He retired in 2002.
