This donation is being made in recognition and appreciation of the extraordinary support that has been extended to Bishop Fabbro and St. Peter’s Seminary since the inaugural Bishop’s Dinner held 13 years ago. This year’s Bishop’s Dinner Honorary Co-Chairs Paul and Mary Ellen Mullins will present the donation on behalf of Bishop Fabbro and the St. Peter’s Seminary Foundation.
“I am very grateful for the opportunity each year to connect with so many people at the Windsor-Essex dinner,” shared Bishop Fabbro. “It is a great celebration of faith and community. The generous support that is provided to St. Peter’s Seminary through these annual dinners is truly remarkable. I wish to congratulate Paul and Mary Ellen for their leadership, energy and commitment to the dinner and to St. Peter’s and for inspiring a local donation to the Society of St. Vincent de Paul.”
Since its inception, the Bishop’s Dinner for Windsor-Essex has raised over $1.5 million to help support the invaluable service St. Peter’s Seminary provides to the Catholic community within the Diocese of London and beyond.
St. Peter’s Seminary, founded in 1912, serves as a key center of formation and education to ensure the high quality formation of priests, deacons, and lay ecclesial ministers; and provides programs of ongoing formation and education for those in every vocation in the Diocesan Church. The announcement of the historic St. Peter’s Seminary building undergoing a complete renovation has already resulted in increased seminarian enrolment, beginning this fall with 42 seminarians.
The 14th Annual Bishop’s Dinner for Windsor-Essex will be held on Thursday, October 26, 2017.
