Job Title: Bookkeeper (part-time) Reports To: Business Manager Hours: Part-Time (20 hours) Flex
Position Overview: This position serves the well-being of the Family of Parishes, through assisting the Business Manager in managing the Temporal Affairs of the community. A college diploma in accounting or bookkeeping is required, along with 3-5 years of relevant service in a similar position.
Regular Duties:
Aid the Business Manager with respect to bookkeeping for the Springbank Family of Parishes
Oversee all accounts payable and receivable
Process payroll
Process all charitable receipts
Monthly and yearly reconciliations
Assist the Finance Committee in reviewing financial statements
General clerical office duties including and not limited to printing, photocopying, preparing correspondence, large mailings, mail reception and distribution
Provide coverage during staff holidays and unexpected staff shortages
Other duties as assigned or required
Relevant Skills and Knowledge:
Knowledge of accounting principles
Understanding accounting best practices
Data entry skills
High attention to detail
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and Teams
Produce work with a high level of accuracy
Professionalism and organization skills
Knowledge of Business Vision, DDMS, Pllenty
Willingness to support the Church’s teachings and mission
Discretion and Confidentiality

Other Regular Meetings:
Standing staff meeting once per week
