Position: Seasonal property and maintenance worker

Commitment: 8:30 a.m. -12:30 p.m. - 4 days a week - June 1 through October 1, 2023 Posting Date: April 18, 2023 Closing Date: May 12, 2023
POSITION SUMMARY:
Reporting to the Cemetery Manager, the role is for summer seasonal grounds help in the areas of care and maintenance of the grounds of the Cemetery.
SUMMARY OF DUTIES:- Performs grass cutting, string trimming, clean up and other maintenance duties directed by the cemetery manager
- Supports the manager in duties related to interments and monument care.
- Ensures that the equipment and machinery are properly used, are cleaned and well kept.
- Brings any issues to the cemetery manager.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:- Prior experience in property care and the use of various property maintenance equipment.
- Thorough understanding of Ontario’s health and safety regulations and requirements.
- Effective and strong communication skills and a respectful attitude to the public.
- Reliable transportation.
- Must be responsible and accountable with a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
- Must be able to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Understanding of and a supportive attitude towards the mission of the Roman Catholic Diocese of London is necessary.
COMPENSATION:
$17 per hour. No benefits or pension provided.
