Fall and the upcoming new "school year" is a great time to prepare for programming for the 2023/2024 Ministry Calendar Year. One of the best things you can do for your youth and family ministries is to recruit new volunteers and provide training for all of your youth and family ministry volunteers.
Our Youth, Young Adult, and Family Ministry office is here to help you do that! Christine Coyle would love to come to your Family of Parishes to help train your leaders in Youth Ministry efforts.
This training is intended for high school teens and young adults who are helping or could help with youth ministry in your Family of Parishes. You do not need to have a youth or family ministry started. This could be a great kick-off. All adult volunteers are also welcome to join. We do require one adult to participate and we recommend it be your coordinator of youth ministry or staff who works with youth. If you do not currently have someone in that role, you could invite a dedicated volunteer who helps or will help lead the youth leaders
Training will include:- Prayer opportunities
- Team building activities
- Training topics include: leading small groups and leading games/ activities for youth
- Safety protocols
Other added features would include:- How to give a Faith Testimony
- How to lead a prayer
- Specific topic that you request
We would develop the training day(s) based on your needs and run the whole day.
What we need you to provide:- Space
- People (between 10-25 people would be ideal)
- Access to Church for prayer time
- Refeshments and meals for all participants, depending on length of event
An ideal day would begin between 9:00-10:00am on a Saturday and end before dinner. Or possibly a Friday evening and then a half day on the Saturday. We are flexible and are willing to work with you on your schedule.
